This type of VISA allows you to STAY IN PANAMA FOR 2 years with the temporary ID and then you will get permanent residence.
You will be able to request a work permit (if necessary)
**REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY**
1. Make sure to bring YOUR criminal background check
2. Proof of Address
3. Copy of Panamanian Spouse’ ID authenticated by our Civil Registry
4. If you have children, you can submit their birth certificates
5. Marriage certificate (registered in Panama if marriage was done abroad). If the marriage was registered out of Panama then the marriage has to be registered here with the assistance of a laywer.
All documents issued abroad must be legalized with apostille or by the Panamanian consulate in the country of origin.
Once application is submitted, you will receive a provisional ID for 6 months. Then once approved you will get an ID for a year, than be extended every year up to 6 years. For the renewal we need to show your credits to make sure you are doing well at school.
Note:
– All documents in a language other than Spanish must be translated by an authorized public translator in Panama.
